Health & Safety
Staying safe in the mountains
Your safety is our priority. We work with registered mountain guides and licensed paragliding pilots, and we want every trip to be both memorable and safe. Please read the guidance below.
Before you go
Tell us about any medical conditions (heart, respiratory, pregnancy, recent surgery) when booking, especially for treks and paragliding. Carry any personal medication. Acclimatise before high treks and stay hydrated.
Trekking
Wear proper footwear and layers — mountain weather changes fast. Follow your guide at all times, stay on marked trails, and don't attempt high routes like Indrahar Pass or Kareri Lake without a guide. We arrange permits, guides and porters where needed.
Paragliding
Flights at Bir-Billing are tandem with licensed pilots and depend on weather and wind. Flights may be rescheduled for safety — please keep your plans flexible. Follow the pilot's briefing and instructions.
Rentals & riding
Always wear the helmet provided, carry your licence and ID, ride within your ability, and respect local traffic and road conditions. Mountain roads can be narrow and wet — ride cautiously.
In an emergency
Call us immediately on +91 88845 91875. Save the number before you set out, and note that mobile coverage can be limited on high treks. We provide on-ground support throughout your trip.
