What to pack
- One warm layer — McLeod evenings are cool even in May
- Walking shoes; the Bhagsu trail is stone steps
- A small daypack for the cab-free walking hours
- Sunscreen and a cap for the Naddi viewpoint
Safety & good to know
- All driving is with a verified local driver on familiar roads
- The Bhagsu waterfall path gets slippery near the falls — railings exist, use them
- Weekend traffic into McLeod peaks 11:00–14:00; our sequencing avoids the worst of it
Two days, planned the way a local would plan them for a friend: McLeod Ganj's big sights sequenced against the crowds, a stay we'd put our own family in, and a cab that waits so you never watch the clock. You arrive Saturday morning and leave Sunday evening feeling like you used every hour without rushing one.
A weekend is enough for Dharamshala if someone local plans it tightly — that is the whole point of this package. We book your stay, keep a private cab with a verified driver on call, and sequence the McLeod Ganj circuit so you never double back: the Dalai Lama Temple complex before the day-trip crowds, Bhagsu and its waterfall trail, Dharamkot's cafe lanes, and the Naddi viewpoint for sunset when the light hits the Dhauladhar wall straight on. Breakfast is included; for the rest we point you to places we actually eat at, not commission kitchens. Pickup and drop within Dharamshala/McLeod Ganj are included, and the same WhatsApp thread that books you handles every change along the way.
